Hendrix Ultimate Experience this Weekend

UWA - North Little Rock, AR
Thirteen teams from the South Region will be competing this weekend, February 11-12, at the Hendrix Ultimate Experience in North Little Rock. Ten of those teams are from the Ozark Section.

The Hendrix Ultimate Experience, which was previously known as the Zach Show (pronounced Shaow), is in its fourth year. As in years past, this will be the first tournament of the spring season for a majority of the teams. Spectators should be prepared for some early season jitters, mistakes, and miscues.

Missouri State won in 2005 and Oklahoma won in 2004. Harding has finished in second place the last two years.

Games begin at 9 am on Saturday at Burns Park.

Ah, how glorious it would have been to be the team that did that to you though. Maybe next year.

We should do sectional ranking polls after each tourney!! Maybe one now, one after Frostbite (to include Mardi Gras and Frostbite) and one right before sectionals to catch Fool's Fest?

That'd be fun!

I'd like to see a write-up on Hendrix.

Cold. Snow. Wind. Screwed up pools and bracket. No bagels or banana's on Sunday. Overall not a great tourney.

Last year at sectionals, Ozark had 15 teams.

1. Kansas
2. Oklahoma
3. Washington (STL)
4. Arkansas
5. Southwest Missouri St.
6. Harding
7. Truman State
8. Hendrix
9. Arkansas-B
10. Missouri
11. Oklahoma State
12. Oklahoma-B
13. John Brown
14. Kansas-B
15. Oklahoma State-B

The following teams were not at Sectionals. I have seen each of these teams around on tournament sites and such.

Drury
Webster
Missouri Southern State
Tulsa
Kansas State
St. Louis
Central Arkansas
Missouri Rolla
McPherson
Wichita State
Southeast Missouri State
Central Missouri State

If all of these teams managed to get together for sectionals, we would have 27 teams in the Ozark section (more if anyone can add a B team). That would make us the largest section in the nation, based on last years numbers. That would be cool. If you are around any of these teams, please encourage them to come to sectionals.

Wow. I'm glad that Hendrix got a write-up, but Frostbite didn't.
