Size Bids Allocated

As anticipated, the South Region fell short this weekend of a size bid to the UPA College Open Nationals. The region had the highest percentage of on time rosters to participation, at 79 percent, but still ended up missing the extra bid by seven on time rosters.

Bids for each region are determined by the UPA Series Guidelines. Each region has at least one guaranteed bid, and can garner additional spots with strength and size bids. Strength bids are determined by how well a region’s representatives perform at the previous year’s Nationals. Size bids are determined by how many teams with on time rosters participate in the current year’s series.

Last year Texas TUFF secured a strength bid for the South Region by advancing to quarterfinals of Nationals.
